Image Information
A signal remains along the abandoned Conrail line in eastern Champaign County, Illinois. This line was originally built by the Danville, Urbana, Bloomington, and Pekin Railroad and later belonged to the Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Western; the Big Four Railroad; and the New York Central. The tracks were removed in the late 1990s. US 150 crosses over the Union Pacific mainline in the background.
